About 10 km from Almora, Kosi is situated: which got this name from a river known as Kosi. Here you can see the creation of god. The Holy River, surrounded by Pine, Devdar trees. From Almora, Busses & some routine based Sumos are very economical to visit this place, for a comfortable journey you can also book a taxi from taxi stand Almora near Roadways station.

There is the Home of God about 10-11 kms far from Almora, called Chitayi Mandir. It is the home of God “Golu” or “Golju”. The people of the district and also state have a great faith on him, which can be seen on seeing those applications, which are submitted by the people(who are in panic) to the God. This temple is famous for thousands of bells, which cover the Temple.

The route for both the places is very clear and there is the presence of Pine trees forest on the both side of the route. The stair shaped fields also give the panoramic glimpse of Kumaun region.
